Keeping Up
Keeping up with multiple blogs is trying. I barely even talk to my friends, so finding time to write on different subjects in different places is nearly impossible.
That said- I wanted to share a recipe that I made up this week. Wheee!! It was *delicious* and I can't wait to try it again. I made it in 90 minutes, from frozen meat to finished product, so I'm pretty happy with its required prep time.
Story is- friends decided to pick up our Tabbi-Girl for an afternoon/evening fall event on Saturday, so I found myself with a quiet house, sleeping baby and no dinner plan. It had been several months since I had had an impromptu-at-home-date ready for my hubby when he got off work, so I donned a lacy mini-dress and went to work with what I had in the kitchen.
1 hour and 40 minutes after deciding to create a special event I had my table set with lace and candles, a chicken/spinach lasagna cooling on the stove, a pecan stressful apple pie in the oven and a beautiful italian salad waiting to be served. I was proud.
Anywho, here's the recipe I made up to make a bheautiful dinner happen:
1 broiled chicken breast, cubed
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
1/4 cup sour cream
1 egg
1/4 cup cream of chicken soup
1/2 pound frozen spinach- rinsed and squeezed dry
1/8 tsp garlic
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp salt
9 lasagna noodles
2 cups shredded mozzerella cheese.

Cookie Sales!
My little sister-in-law has decided to sell cookies once a week in our neighborhood, and today is baking day! We're gonna make Choco-Scotch-Chip and Super Peanut Chunk cookies for her to package up and take door to door.
Why these two particular recipes? Well, because A) They're basic spins on traditional recipes that make people comfortable and B) The supplies for them were cheap enough for Tab to afford for her first set of ventures.
Last week she used half of her supplies, spent two hours walking the neighborhood and made $18 clear profit. Not bad for a 15 year old.
This morning we're starting the process over again, and today she'll make more. She's saving for Christmas at the moment, and after Christmas she'll start saving for a car. Hopefully she'll be able to get a real job in the spring, but for now, this provides the allowance that we're having a hard time scraping out of the budget, and gives her a profitable outlet when she gets bored. I'm pretty happy with the process too, 'cause it gives me a chance to teach/improve upon her baking skills.
In short- we're having fun today!

Trying not to Type
I've been doing a lot of random writing lately and my wrists are kinda shot. That's anything but a good thing, since I have cello practice coming up, but it's kind of essential writing, and I *really* need to keep these blogs updated, so I'm writing again.
My job has me visiting hundreds of websites a week. This month I've completed over 800 tasks and many of those have as many as 20 websites within a single task. It's interesting, to say the least. Today I had a new task type that had me rating the actual navigation queries to see whether they were searches, individual sites or operator queries, and I didn't even have to visit 90% of them because I had been to the sites and recognized their names.
And yet, there are millions of websites out there that I haven't touched. It boggles me to think that people might actually accidentally stumble on a useless little site like this one. . .

Frivolities in the Times
Reading George Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-Four this week and I'm a little more incredulous when it comes to news stories than I used to be. Stories of our hiking boys who have been being held in Iran for the past two years but were able to return home today, and of executions and space debris- why even read it? It's exhilarating and makes us believe that there is more going on out there than happens in our every day life. It makes us believe that there is a high power here on earth that makes big things happen. It makes us believe that Big Brother is watching and that all is right within the party....
Just kidding. I'm actually rejoicing for Josh and Shane and their families. I am *so* happy that they are home. I hate the idea of space junk being added to the Great Pacific Garbage Belt. I think executions that have been put off for 22 years are stupid, and the reason that our nation is in debt, because if we weren't paying for health care for murderers we'd have insane amounts of free cash.
I also have a very sore throat and I'm going to bed now.

BUMP
When you post on a topic on a forum, just so that it will show up in the more recently updated pages, it's called a "bump."
This is, officially, a bump.
